Aurora & Dakota // Utah Elopement

WOW. Where do we start with Aurora and Dakota?! These two are the raddest. They are currently traveling in their adorable van (see below) exploring the world. You should go follow them on Instagram if you’ve ever thought about selling everything and taking off to see all that’s out there. https://www.instagram.com/thewisconsinites/ If you can’t up and go, we still recommend living vicariously through these two!

On the day of their wedding, we started out at the beautiful Snow Canyon Scenic Overlook. It has the most amazing desert vibes. They had a perfect picnic setup planned for the day, but a prediction of storms resulted in the company not being able to make the drive. These two spent the entire day before driving all over to create a setup they’d love. We think they did a great job! Their beautiful cake was insanely tasty! We all shared a bite before moving on to Zion National Park where they would recite their vows and get some sunset shots.

These two had scoped out the perfect spot in Zion, but the weather had other plans that day. It stormed on us the majority of the two-hour drive. There were even park rangers filling in holes as we drove in. We ended up improvising on the final spot and we think it was meant to be. The hike was a bit less strenuous for a bride in a wedding dress, and the views were incredible. The area was surprisingly quiet for such a good hike!

If you’re considering eloping in this beautiful area, we highly recommend it. There’s a variety of scenery near St George and some super unique Airbnbs to crash at. We stayed in this remote tent in Cane Beds, AZ – which happens to be super close to Zion! It even had a heated bed!!
