From the start, these two were like talking to your best friends. Helping them plan out ideas and walk through what their time in Terlingua would look like was an honor. They are both such free spirits and fit in so naturally to the area.
Libby picked the most magnificent dress from Rue De Sine with boho sleeves and a hint of western fringe. To say we had a blast capturing all the movement is an understatement. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream! Oh and let’s not forget Justin’s super fly teal suit. He got creative and we were there for it.
We all stayed at La Posada Milagro, literally the cutest casa’s perfectly placed out in the wilderness. We honestly didn’t know Texas looked like this! Terlingua is a ghost town perfectly placed near Big Bend Ranch State Park and Big Bend National Park.
On our first day with Libby and Justin, we headed out to the National Park with no plan but to have some fun. We stayed until it was pitch dark, and boy does it get dark in the middle of nowhere. We ended the night at Santa Elena Canyon where we saw a ton of sheep and goats. The next day was their ceremony in the State Park at the abandoned Contrabando movie set along the Rio Grande. The structures here are so beautiful and were so perfect for these two. There may have been a few tears (on our part too!) shed during their intimate ceremony. You’ll just have to scroll down and see for yourselves.
If you’ve stuck around till the end, we’ve got some fun personal shots to share with you! Our best friend, Tara joined along on the trip and we had a ton of fun exploring during our downtime. Enjoy!
