Paul surprised me with a trip to Portland, Oregon for our 11 year Anniversary. He planned the entire thing which was such a nice gift for me. The flight, the Airbnb, and things to do! We spent one whole day just thrift shopping and found some seriously amazing deals. Paul even found a Portland made jacket at Buffalo Exchange new with tags and at a 4th of the price. Another day we chose to drive outside of town and have some photos done in Cascade Locks at the Government Cove Overlook. Jess Hunter met us there early in the morning for some photos. We are absolutely in love with them (scroll down to see some of those)! We drove most of that day (after getting coffee of course) and stopped at lots of beautiful places to get the best views of the mountains. The weather there is probably my most favorite ever. One day the sun popped out and I yelled, Paul laughed pretty hard about that. Anyway, here are a few shots we got, we spent most of our trip enjoying the time away though.

 

This is the view of the city of Portland from the Pittock Mansion. It’s an insanely beautiful place. We didn’t tour the home but wow that guy had it made. There were numerous hikes he made for his family that went down from the house.

Early one morning we hiked up Government Cove for some photos by Jess Hunter, this was the most beautiful view to me. I want to blow this up and put it in my house. It’s rare to see a train out in the open like this.

We randomly found this lake/campsite on the way up to the Timberline Ski Lodge. There were people fishing and even a couple taking wedding photos!
