He does. There is no doubt about that one.
This morning as he prepared to lead devotion and worship at our daughters First Priority meeting, I couldn’t hold back my smile. He is in love with God, he is an exceptional father to our 3 children, and he is my leader and my best friend. Don’t get me wrong, the guy has his bad moments. You know the days when we run out of eggs & bacon and he absolutely CANNOT resort to eating cereal so he pouts and whines and sulks till one of us goes to the store. Or the times when he just cannot get the message I’m so cleverly sending his way about where I wanna eat for lunch. Seriously, shouldn’t my hint from last week be enough to tell you I want Cane’s for lunch today!
When it all comes down to it I’m just silly in love. It’s that kind of love that makes you clean the house at Tasmanian devil speed even though you are allergic to dust and pine sol. The kind of love that wakes up and fixes those eggs and that bacon MOST mornings. Why? Because our love is unconditional and my man DESERVES it and more.
We are so blessed that God has put us in a place to minister into others marriages. We’re not just wedding photographers. SURPRISE! We’re a couple of folks that want all couples to know the love we have… the love they should have. Not the fairy tales you read about as a child, but the ones you create together. There will be good times and their will certainly be bad times, how hard you love during those times is what makes the fairy tales seem ordinary.
Let all that you do be done in love. – 1 Corinthians 16:14
